Hodge Podge

Well, I've been a little busy trying to add new items to show you....the first two pic's are of tea wallets to carry your teabags in...I added a "fun" teabag to mine below.... the next picture is of teaspoons bent to stand up they have been stained with an alcohol stain on the one I added a little pincushion to it and the other is just a decorative lace doily & button....the next picture is of the "fun" teabags filled with rose tea yum yum smells goooooooood!! Following next are flower brooch pin's and then a bracelet made from ribbon w/silk ribbon flowers made by me of course and a choker necklace w/ the silk roses on it. Last but not least is a sewing accessories envelope. All items are "For sale" as well as the tea towels in previous posting if anyone is interested in purchasing anything please email me and I will tell you the price. I'm going to set up a Etsy store but until that happens email is fine.

Tea Time II

Well I had so much fun yesterday making the tea towels I made 2 more today check out the "tea bag" on the one it's made out of fabric and it slips into the tea cup see picture below....tooo cute aye!! I'm thinking about taking them up to our local tea room and see if she'd like to buy them or take them on commission and try to sell... time to get some much needed sleep up way to late last night until next time

Tea time

I found some lovely vintage tea towels at an antique store yesterday so today I embroidered a quaint little teapot on it.....it's a design that I've had for sometime and wanted to put it on something now I've found the perfect thing....don't you think?? The teatime recipes book I bought in Scotland and the cute little tea bag envelope I got from http://www.fromthecraftroom.blogspot.com/ go over and check out Pam's things she has some really cute items!!

I received in the mail today the giveaway items from "Barb" for her 200th.post giveaway at http://treasuresfromtheheartgifts.blogspot.com/ I'm so tickled to have won them.... love the bird nest on the antique spoon and I have just the place for it and the bookmark is beautiful with the wonderful verse and the handpainted card that I'm sure Barb did herself is lovely think I'll frame it and keep it for myself thanks again Barb I love everything!!!

Daffodil garden

Here is my daffodil garden I took the picture last weekend when the weather was just perfect sunny, 80's and all the daffy's were still beautiful they are now starting to die off and I hate to see them go because then I have all these stems that take forever to die and no room to plant any other pretty flowers.....oh well these have lasted along time and have really enjoyed them.... how do you like the birds "BIG" birdbath (the bathtub) only there's no water in it.... I was just thinking how to make that into a water feature though maybe have a shower attached to it sprinkling water into the tub will have to get DH on to that idea he'll be thrilled!! Yesterday I took a quilt shop hop with our local quilt shop "Fabric Obsession" http://www.fabric-obsession.com/ my first one but I can tell ya it won't be the last unless my DH finds out how much I spent "bad girl" oh well gotta be bad once in awhile.... right?? We went to 7 different shops only had been to 1 of them before so the other's were a real treat.....I'm having friends come next week from Maine and she's a quilter so will have to take her to a few of them what are friends for gotta do our share for the economy!!! Now I need to start on these new projects just what I need more projects, more fabric oh what's a girl to do until next time...

Spring Giggles Goodies

I received my giveaway gifts from Cheryl at "Willowberry Designs" the other day and I love them... the pattern looks like a fun quilt to do and the pincushion is so bright and cheery and Springy...you can never have too many of them sitting around thanks CHERYL!

The buffet

Well Veranda view block 2 is finished "The buffet" this cute little bunny is ready for his lunch and I'm happy to oblige him....now 0nward to block 3, I've got alot of catching up to do on BOM's.

Tie dyed Easter eggs

These eggs were so much fun to do you can hardly wait till they're done to be able to see how they turned out oh yeah guess I should tell you how I did them....well I found them on another blog the bottom picture I did with silk fabric my DH brought me back from China and the top one's are done with men's silk tie's 100% silk it has to be.... they just the neatest Easter eggs ever??? So go to http://www.ourbestbites.com/2008/03/silk-dyed-eggs.html she has pictures and tutorial how to do them of course you need to go to Goodwill or somewhere to get "cheap" tie's I don't suggest using your DH"s tie's wish I could have cause he has some really great one's but, not a good idea so I did get lot's of them for .50 or 1.00 at Goodwill.
