2012 Sewing retreat!!

Well our 2012 retreat has come and gone but, did we ever have a wonderful, fun filled time. It was at the same place as last year "The Inn at the Amish Door" in Wilmot, Ohio deep in the

♥ of Amish country and the weather let me tell you it could not have been any better than if we could have planned it ourselves sunny 70's just perfect. There were 39 ladies who worked on any kind of project you can imagine...some quilt tops start to finish, some already started then finished, mats for under your sewing machine, purses same pattern just different fabric, ironing mats, beautiful items. We had gifts each day waiting for us when we came down each morning prizes drawn and I was one of the lucky one's I got a Sudoku quilt kit it has 2 charm packs for making it, just need sashing & backing for it. We were there over St. Paddy's Day so most everyone had on some sort of green and if you went to Mrs. Miller's Dry Good's shop you got 20% off your purchase for wearing green so you know of course we made a trip there. We laughed till we cried, ate till we were almost sick and stayed up late till we could hardly see but, it was the best weekend and can't wait to go again next year and we get to go 2 times March & Oct. yippee.
