Lover's knot block♥

Here is my block "Lover's knot" for my next quilters guild meeting next Wed. we have a different block each month then a drawing for all the block's so I'm really hoping I win this month wish me luck...it's not perfect but, I think it came out very nice especially since I'm not really a quilter by nature...in fact I'd like to make more of these and make a table runner or something, probably not a quilt but who knows I may surprise myself I've also been working on 2 more pairs of the baby slippers I posted awhile back for someone at the shop where I have my stuff so when they are finished I'll post them, hopefully later today till then happy day to all♥

Playing with photo shop

I've been playing with photo shop tonight and the new digital kit I won from http://blackcat-designs.blogspot.com/ "Touch of Turquoise" and having lot's of fun....not very good yet but here is what I came up with need lot's more practice but it's endless what you can create well almost nighty night time so till tomorrow "Sweet Dreams" this one's for you Janey my friend ♥

Coloring fun!

My grandson was here yesterday with a new box of crayons and on the back it said go to www.crayola.com/colorme

so I did and look what you can do....take and upload one of your own photos and it then transfoms it into a page you can color...see the photo and below is the page to color so if you have little children or grandchildren or if your like me you can color your own photo's it is so much fun...try it bet you'll have fun too!

Here is the pillow I made using the stitchery I showed a few day's ago think it came out pretty nice....will probably take it to the shop where I have my other things now to get busy on other things started.

Fun day with Tj & Ty ♥♥

Since yesterday was President's Day....NO SCHOOL.... so I took my grandson's TJ & TY to "Romp n Stomp" it's a place where you rent the big inflatables for parties and then on special day's they open it up to the public to come in and play and they had a blast made me want to be a kid again for a little while anyhow... so these are my boy's below TJ on left and TY on right....

Then we have an Ice festival every year so we stopped there to see the ice sculptures a few anyhow it was COOOLD so here they are on The Love Seat buurrrrrrrrrrr they're saying and hurry up mamaw!!

Snow & Stitcheries

I've finally gotten a couple stitcheries done since all we've been getting lately is snow so been staying in and sewing this first picture is of the snow we're getting right now up to a foot they're calling for between today and Wed. evening guess that means my friend & I won't be going to our quilting guild meeting tomorrow night...darn! Can you see the cardinal in the bird feeder have to keep our feathered friends fed in this cold & snow well enough about that white stuff...

This stitchery is going to be a little pillow I think, love the saying...Home is where your story begins...

and these next two stitcheries are from the book An angels story by Anni Downs from "Hatched and Patched" love her stuff I now have 5 or 6 angels done want to make a quilt out of them wish me luck so there you have it what I've been doing along with of course all the other things that keep you busy how do we find the time for the fun things... until tomorrow happy sewing and stay warm if your in my neck of the woods!!

Snowy morning

Well**** this is what I woke up to this morning our part of the snowstorm that hit the Eastern seaboard I guess...we probably have 8-12" the wind was blowing so the drifts are pretty deep in some spots like on our back porch.....the sun is out now and it's beautiful....can you see my cat "Patches" in the second picture she wanted to check it out but decided she didn't really like it so back in the garage she came to her nice warm bed. It is Feb. and this is to be expected so I'm just going to stay in and stay warm....waiting for Spring!!

My favorite things giveaway♥

Look what just arrived from Aussie country!!

Thank you Jean so much for this beautiful fabric covered box....I was the winner of Jean's giveaway and I received it today. The inside is covered with copies of sampler paper that Jean made copies from sampler's she has made and she sent some of them so I could make my own boxes along with little sampler card's to use to wind ribbon around on them. I love the card that is inside the lid on the second picture...reminds me of the Amish people we have near us & of much simpler times. Thanks again, go and visit Jean's blog you'll love it.

From old comes new♥

The picture below is of course the"new" copied from the picture below of the "old" I don't really know what it is so I just call it a baby vest because it's open on all sides...I put a silk ribbon rose at the sleeve edge to hold the sleeve together but, the rest remains open. I found the old one at a vintage shop close by thought that would make a good simple easy pattern for something new. I made the little rabbit from vintage chenille w/silk ribbon flowers around his neck. I took it to the shop where I have my items hoping someone has a special little person that they can't resist buying it for.

Having trouble deciding???

If you've noticed lately I've changed my backgound quite a few times because I couldn't find one that I really liked....then I found this blog background site www.cute-bloglayouts.blogspot.com and they have the "BEST" backgrounds I've seen anywhere so I'll probably still change because there are so many beautiful one's so if your having the same problem go check them out I promise you won't be sorry!

Tiny silk slippers♥♥♥♥

Here are the baby shoe's I made...they are made out of silk dupioni fabric and silk ribbon and the floss is the new Cosmo floss that is silky smooth love it! I've taken some of the items I've made to a shop near where I live...it's a beauty shop and where she had tanning bed's she's made a little gift shop....and invited a few people who are crafty and make different things to put their items in to sell, quite a good idea I think....her customers can pick up a gift right there...so if you happen to be a hairdresser and have your own shop might be an idea for you to try...if so best of luck to you!

Winter wonderland

It's a beautiful winter wonderland around here and we have more snow on the way today...the cardinal in the tree is our state bird and doesn't he look beautiful against the black & white background just that speck of red really stands out. My DH left for China yesterday so I get to put up with this white stuff while he's enjoying 50 to 60 degree weather there oh well, I'd rather be here (tooooooooo long of a flight) and hopefully I'll get some sewing done which hasn't happened in quite sometime I did make a pair of baby shoe's though so I'll post them tomorrow....sew till tomorrow good night, sweet dreams till we meet again!!

JC Kid's choir Christmas program

My grandson's TJ & Tyler's Christmas program at church....they were each a different Christmas tree ornament TJ my oldest he was the Polar Express train conductor & that is a real conductor's hat he's wearing and Tyler he was a race car driver. The following pictures show Tyler with the hanger on his head falling down because of a little help from him playing with it and TJ was saying "All aboard" in his picture. The pure innocence of children....God Bless them all!

Fun times w/grandson's

We had a fun filled weekend with our grandson's, first both set's of Mamaw's & Papaw's took them to see Santa and out to dinner on Friday then just the papaw's and daddy took them on a train ride with of course Santa on board on Sat. ....they had so much fun our oldest one TJ he loves diesel & steam engine trains so he was thrilled beyond words and Tyler the youngest liked Santa best... don't know how much longer they will want to go with us to see Santa so we're trying to keep in going as long as possible we had a few snow flakes today.....I want snow for Christmas then it can stay away, well enjoy those little one's they sure grow up fast!
